Let it be known to one and all that...
- Whereas David Causton is one of the founding members of the Free Range Ukulele Society of Oak Park Meetup which was created on October 8th, 2013, for the purpose of bringing together people who love to play—or want to learn to play—the ukulele, to sing, and to have fun notwithstanding that he had just returned from Paris, France; and
- Whereas David Causton is known as The Chosen One; and
- Whereas David Causton is the official “Know Your Beatles” presenter; and
- Whereas David Causton has lead many, many songs over the years, especially the ones recorded by The Beatles; and
- Whereas David Causton is the “Terry's Favorite Song” co-lyricist; and
- Whereas the Free Range Ukulele Society of Oak Park Meetup is happy to follow in its humble way the example of JB Pritzker, Governor of the State of Illinois, who on November 23, 2022, declared December 6, 2022, as David Causton Day; and
- Whereas David Causton is a nice guy; and
- Whereas this will be the last meetup David Causton will be participating in before he and his wife Suzanne move to Maryland;
Now, therefore, I (state your name) do proclaim and declare that this meetup, held on Thursday, May 9th, 2024, is, and from henceforth, will always be known as the
Free Range Ukulele Society of Oak Park
